Soft, long, kneading, rhythmic strokes to the top layer of muscles.  Relieves muscular tension, increases blood flow and reduces mental stress.  Hot towels and aromatherapy used with each session.  The ultimate relaxation experience.
Best for giving attention to painful trouble spots.  Slow, deliberate focused pressure to multiple layers of muscle.  Therapeutic in relieving chronic patterns of tension and pain.  It is important to note that the entire massage does not have to be deep tissue.  Deep tissue is applied to the areas needed based on each individual.
Trigger points are hyperirritable spots in the fascia surrounding skeletal muscle.  They have a special property of referring pain to other parts of the body. For example, trigger points in the upper trapezius muscle will refer the pain to your head in a tension headache. This massage is slow, extremely specific, and deep.  Trigger points are held for an extended period of time in order for them to release.
Therapeutic massage and stretching are combined to assist the athlete in training and recovery practices. It is also extremely beneficial in preventing injuries.
Prenatal massage relieves the normal discomforts during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, edema (swelling) and headaches.  Postnatal massage will help the pelvis realign after delivery. Pillows are used to bolster the expecting mother.
Assisted head to toe stretching to improve range of motion, increase flexibility, and relieve muscle fatigue.  The client remains fully clothed during this session. Loose fitting clothes such as jogging pants are recommended for this session.
Don't know what you need?  This massage choice will allow your therapist to combine massage modalities that will give you the best result for the goal you set with your session. Give us your goal for the session and we will customize your massage.
Special cups that create suction are used to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and as a type of deep-tissue massage.  Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine and is a perfect add-on to a primary massage session but can be done as a stand alone session.
